The overall aim of the programme is to equip learners with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to operate effectively as a supervisor.
Learning Objectives
On successful completion of this course you will be able to:
- Understand the role and responsibilities of a supervisory manager
- Demonstrate modern supervisory practices and methods, with reference to various types of workplaces
- Describe the keys steps in staff recruitment
- Analyse risks for which insurance cover is normal
- Draft procedures for communication, to ensure quality, recruitment, and supervision
- Prepare a departmental budget

ASSESSMENT consists of:
- Portfolio (40% of total marks).
- Skills Demonstration (60%).
- Full guidance and support will be provided to learners.
Attendance is advised on each of the six days as the course is designed to build on previous learning. This will also facilitate the fulfilment of the assessments required at the end of the course.
