Course details

Our Part-time Studio Engineering and Music Production Programme gives students access to our professional, conveniently located facilities in a learning environment focused on practical skills. Students benefit from all the facilities and staff expertise of our full-time courses, enjoying a more condensed timetable. Typically, one evening per week is spent in Studio, and the other in our Production lab. Students also work on several Studio sessions at times that suit them.

We also run a Sound Training Productions, a production Company, offering our current students and graduates a mentoring service, access to professional facilities and referrals for work. Our reputation in the industry means clients constantly contact us to request qualified professionals; we thus have great success in placing our graduates.

Content is complemented by a vast array of extra curricular seminars from Industry Professionals, all contributing to the creative and technical development of the student.

In the second year of the Programme, students specialise in all aspects of Production.

Students can look forward to abundant access to our studio facilities both in class time and on project work and work experience on professional project, examples of which can be found here.

Software used on the course includes Pro tools, Logic and Ableton, see our facilities for hardware and studio equipment.

ENTRY CRITERIA

This course requires a good level of English and basic computer skills before entry. Entry is then determined by interview.

Advanced Entry: Applicants with suitable experience may be eligible for direct entry into the second year of the Programme, contact us for more details.
