    The Structuring Islamic Products course provides an extensive explanation on the structuring of Islamic finance products based on the key Islamic nonimate contracts together with its practical implications through the analyzing of contracts and cases. This course focuses on the structuring of transactions and provides the delegate with the Shariah concept of Islamic structuring for a clients' requirements. The delegate will be able to identify the risks involved for the transaction structure and know how to mitigate these risks through compliance with the Shariah rules.

    On successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

    • Identify various contemporary Islamic nominate contracts: their definition, phylosophy, types, legal foundations, and application
    • Explain the structuring process of a wide selection of key Islamic banking products and appreciate the Shariah principles and parameters within which they are structured
    • Compare and contrast a wide selection of key Islamic banking products with conventional banking products and analyze which of those that are more in line with the spirits of Shariah
    • Discuss the contemporary issues related to the current Islamic banking products
    • identify risks involved for various product structures and explain how to mitigate these risks through compliance with Shariah rules

    This course is for inpiduals who would like to have an in-depth understanding of the process of structuring a multitude of Islamic finance products. This may include and may not be limited to: inpiduals in product development, credit officers, branch and middle managers, investment analysts, audit and legal affairs officers or managers.
