Whether hailing from the public or private sector, there is a growing need to strategically manage how your entity interacts with customers, end users, shareholders and the public at large. Due to the explosion of both social consciousness and technical capabilities, no business or government is immune to public scrutiny and rigorous oversight. While most managers and regulators realize the growing importance of strategic communications, many are unsure as to where to begin and how to allocate scare resources effectively.
In this course, you will learn the fundamental concepts, tools, techniques, and applications of strategic communications. Participants will gain an understanding of the rationale for strategic communications and be exposed to a thorough methodology for planning and implementing a strategic communications campaign. At the end of the course, students will have the tools and perspective needed to design and implement an effective strategic communications campaign at their agency or business.
The course comprises majority video (approximately 2 ½ hours total length divided into lecture segments) and some supplemental text and video clips.
