Course details
This course is intended for people who have already completed the three day Statistics with Minitab course. In addition to a review of the material contained in the three day course, attendees will be provided with the opportunity to gain additional practice with Minitab software.
The tutor will obtain data from the Company in advance of the training course, relevant to the attendees work, and build this data into Minitab exercises.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this training course, delegates will be able to:
- Use Minitab software to undertake analysis of data
- Use the graphical techniques available in Minitab software
- Undertake hypothesis testing with Minitab
Course Programme
- Review of introductory statistics calculated with Minitab
- Data analysis with Minitab – linking Minitab to Excel
- Exploring features of the Minitab software
- Graphical techniques in Minitab used to understand data – histograms, boxplots, probability plots
- Testing for normality – dealing with nonnormality – transformations and fitting nonnormal distributions
- Hypothesis testing – two sample t-test, F-test, ANOVA using standard menus and Assistant in Minitab
- Regression analysis
