The subject provides an introduction to basic statistical concepts. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability distributions, estimation of population parameter, hypothesis testing, and linear regression.
Objectives
The aims of this subject are to provide students with:
- Practical knowledge of statistical concepts and techniques to generate information for decision-making.
- Analytical skills to understand statistical findings.
- Interpretative skills to use statistical findings for decision making.
