This course aims to provide learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to work in the Sports Therapy and Complementary Therapy industry, in a private clinic or in conjunction with a physical therapist. Sports therapists provide a valuable service to the sports industry, specialising in the prevention and management of soft tissue injuries through manual massage techniques and electrical treatments.

- ITEC - Level 3 Award in Strapping and Taping
- ITEC - Diploma in Sports Equipment
- ITEC - Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy
- QQl (FETAC)- Occupational First Aid
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- ITEC Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage OR
- ITEC/CIBTAC approved equivalent
- Successful completion of interview
WORK EXPERIENCE
Work experience placement in a related vocational area is an integral part of this course. Students must obtain one day per week work experience for the academic year. The day will be specified by the college.
