Elementry
Spoken Arabic courses provide a sound basis for the development of oral skills for learners with no background in Arabic. Emphasis is on the functional aspects of the spoken Arabic of Cairo in day-to-day interactions with Egyptians. The two-level elementary courses cover the basic fundamental elements of the language within the cultural context of Arabic-speaking people.
Intermediate
Intermediate spoken Arabic courses cover complex grammatical structures and expand the learners’ vocabulary; the courses also consolidate and advance grammatical structures through examples and exercises. Greater focus is placed on contextualized vocabulary and conversation based on real-life situations. The courses include communicative competencies at an intermediate level with attention to cultural awareness. Students also practice speaking, reading, writing and listening to the language.
Advanced
The advanced spoken Arabic levels aim to develop the learners' speaking and writing skills. The courses target the progress of the learners’ usage of grammatical structures common to a near native level of proficiency. Course levels aim to develop the learner's comprehension of the Egyptian culture as well as the effective use of cultural specific language. Authentic material constitutes a substantial component of the courses to make the learners develop their ability to analyze and express their opinions elaborately.
