The Specialist Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering (SAME) is a Diploma Programme conducted by Air Transport Training College (ATTC)***, the Professional Development Centre of the Singapore Institute of Aerospace Engineers (SIAE)**.
Specialist Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering (SAME) fully meets the requirements of skills required for the Aerospace industry as well as providing you with the basic knowledge needed to be employed in an aircraft line maintenance environment. Specialist Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering (SAME) also prepares you to sit for the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) Cat A1 certifying personnel examination.
Specialist Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering (SAME) is a WSQ approved course which integrates the modules of WSQ Higher Certificate in Aerospace Maintenance with specialisation in Aircraft Maintenance (Mechanical).
This SAR-66/ MCAR66 Cat A1 course is approved by the following authorities:
- Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS)
- Malpes Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA)
Career Prospect
Students who graduate with Specialist Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering (SAME) and obtained the CAAS SAR-66 Cat A1 Licence* will find prospect for employment in the Aerospace industry locally and internationally.
* One year of additional relevant Aircraft Maintenance Experience is required
Admission Requirements
- GCE ‘O’ Level with credit in English, Mathematics, and Science [Combined Science, Physical Science, Physics, Science (Physics, Biology), Science (Physics, Chemistry)] OR
- NITEC in relevant Engineering discipline OR
- Other equivalent qualifications from recognized engineering institutions
