Thiscourse covers the basics of space law and describes the business opportunitiesin outer space in developing areas in the context of international agreements,treaties, domestic law and even state law. The course in four lectures, coversin part one (two lectures), the developmentof space activities and the basic laws and regulations that regulate humanactivities in space. To think about business opportunities, the legal frameworkis discussed to provide a framework for developing opportunities. In part two(two lectures), the course explores the international asteroid defense program,the emergence of asteroid mining and the new space tourism business opportunityand how these are regulated. At the end of this course you will be able toassess where business opportunities are emerging and how to navigate the basicsof space law.
