What's it all about? This course will teach you all you need to stay in touch.
- Understand Social Media and how they have changed communications.
- Learn how to setup and use Skype to make video calls.
- Create a Facebook page to share pictures and special moments with your friends and family
- Use Twitter to keep in touch with what's happening - this can be really good if you love to keep up to speed with breaking news, current affairs and sports results.
- Develop awareness of issues such as "video clips going viral", cyber-bullying and abuse through chat rooms.
- Learn how to talk to your kids about staying safe online.
The course will be provided in a small "hands on" computer class managed by an experienced tutor. There are no formal entry requirements, although it is best if you have used a computer in the past.
