Course details
Social Media and Digital Marketing for Retailers is a course tailored specifically for the retail industry. It is an intensive training course designed for marketing professionals, retail managers, sales executives, corporate communication executives, or anyone who has an interest in Social Media and web tools.
The first day will focus on an introduction to web 2.0 trends and how that relates to consumers purchasing behaviour, the strengths and weaknesses of various social media platforms and its strategic importance to increase footfall. This highly interactive and discussion based session will draw learning from local and international retail examples.
On the second day participants will focus on how to implement social media marketing strategies in their organisations. Participants will be given hands-on opportunities using social media tools, such as online reputation tools, and opportunities to develop or refine their social media strategic plans with guidance from the trainer. Participants will also have a chance to have their websites and social media assets assessed and critiqued by the trainer, a session that many past attendees find it extremely useful.
It is recommended that participants bring laptops with Internet connectivity.
