Students study towards the internationally-recognised Cambridge English Language Assessments and the Cambridge International Certificate in IT Skills (validated by University of Cambridge International Examinations, CIE).
What will I learn?
First Year
Foundation Studies in English and Information Technology. Students study towards the internationally-recognised Cambridge English Language Assessments and the Cambridge International Certificate in IT Skills (validated by University of Cambridge International Examinations, CIE).
Second Year
In year two, students undertake a general level 3 (EFQ) programme in Business and Finance with mandatory units in Human Resources Management, Finance, Customer Relationships, business-related IT, Sales planning, business development and others.
Third Year
In year 3 students are required to undertake mandatory level 4 (EFQ) units in the development of complex business documents using appropriate information technology tools. They also develop their project co-ordination and workplace innovation skills. They also follow specialist units relevant to the establishment and operation of a small business including sales and marketing, business planning, building a customer portfolio and legal aspects of business management.
How will I benefit from taking this course?
This programme will give students an introduction to the core skills involved in business enterprise and enable them to develop the skills needed to draw up business plans, and operate core business functions. Students also learn how to plan, establish and run their own business.
