Course details
Cantonese is the principal language of Kwangtung province in Southeast China, parts of neighboring Kwangsi province, Hong Kong, and Macao; it is also spoken by many people in Southeast Asia, and is the original language of many Chinese-American, with some 50 million people in the world speaking it. It has many dialects, but the Prestige variety, spoken in Canton, is standard, and is used over a wide area, including Hong Kong. This course teaches students (one-to-one) to speak Standard Cantonese in the locales where Cantonese is spoken, to speak it fluently and in accordance to grammatical rules, with accurate pronunciation and within the scope of topics of daily life.
Especially for CEOs, Professionals, Business Owners, school students and keen learners of Chinese dialect who needs flexible timing and dedicated coaching., this course is suitable for students to proceed from level 1 up to level 6 to improve their speaking and reading ability. At the end of the course, students will be expected to be able to listen and communicate fluently in Cantonese of relatively long length.

- Slight introduction to the culture and history of Kwangtung province
- Cantonese dialect tones and pitch accent (proper pronunciation)
- Consonants and vowels
- Pronouns
- Numbers, Directions, Seasons, Weather, Time, Colors etc in Cantonese Language
Course Certification
Students can receive a certificate by SCI upon completion of the course. Whether or not to take an examination at the end of the course is optional.
