This is a foundation course that introduces learners to design influences, jewellery conceptual ideas and exposure to geometric and organic design forms using non-traditional materials.

  • Lecture and demonstration on design influences and jewellery design conception
  • Knowledge of basic tools
  • Introduction to freehand drawing
  • Demonstration of jewellery construction using non-traditional and recyclable materials
  • Hands-on individual projects in a jewellery workshop environment

Immerse yourself into the world of jewellery design by kicking off with the foundation module – Contemporary Jewellery Design, and venture on to acquire advanced techniques through the manipulation of resin and acrylic, metal and wood, enamelling and glass, and silversmithing.
