Admission Criteria
- Age of 18 & above
- Able to pass CAAS CLASS 1 Aviation Medical Examination
- Education: At least GCE ‘A’ Level or equivalent preferred (those with 5 GCE ‘O’ Level credits including Maths, English and a Science subject may be considered)
- Good proficiency in English language (e.g. IELTS Overall Grade of 5.5)
- Male Singaporean must have either completed, be exempted from, or not be liable for, full-time National Service (NS)
- No criminal conviction or finding of guilt (include all motor vehicle traffic-related convictions)
- Pass the selection test of STAA
Ground School – conducted in Singapore
Airline Transport Pilot License (Aeroplane) – Theoretical Knowledge

Flight Training – conducted in Australia
- Phase 1
- Basic instrument flying and navigation training
- 57 hours in a single engine aircraft
- 3 hours in a flight training simulation device
- 2 progress checks (flight assessments) conducted
Phase 2
- Attain CPL with Night Visual Flight Rating (NVFR), ME endorsement and IR
- 107 hours in a single engine aircraft
- 32 hours in a multi-engine aircraft
- 23 hours in a flight training simulation device
- 2 progress checks (flight assessments) conducted
- CAAS Flight Test
Course Location
About St Aerospace Academy
The Multi Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) program incorporates airline specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) from the initial stage of training right up till their commencement of employment with the airline. Through the program, cadets are mentored by an airline representative into their type, base and line training on a specific aircraft. The program duration is about 18 months. In summary, the MPL program has to be offered alongside a partnering airline. STAA's mission is to train safe, professional, competent and efficient pilots, through utilising state-of-the-art technology and methodology.
