Course details
This subject covers design for sustainability; with emphasis on designing in the tropics as a design example. It includes identifying the characteristics of a tropical building. It also covers the knowledge on how to improve the environmental performance of the existing building.
Objectives
The subject aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to:
- Explain the principles for sustainability.
- Recommend changes to an existing building based on sustainability principles for selected climatic condition.
