Course details

Our Diploma in Aviation Management & Services (AMS) is the first polytechnic diploma of its kind in Asia. Launched in 2007, this unique course aims to prepare and equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the varied specialised occupational needs of the aviation industry.

This course has been designed according to the needs of the industry and offers you training in a broad spectrum of aviation related domains, including airport and airline operations & management, air traffic management, and management of customer & in-flight services.

Outside the classroom, you will also be provided with excellent opportunities to gain valuable industrial experience through your internship at reputable aviation-related companies and key regulatory authorities in your third year. You may work as airline representatives and airport operations personnel at Changi Airport, or as in-flight cabin crew with Tigerair, Scoot and Silkair. There are also overseas internships opportunities with regional airports and aviation companies.

If you have an inclination and aptitude for flying, then you may opt for our Aeronautical Science Option during your third year, whereby you will go through a full-time flying programme to acquire a Private Pilot Licence (PPL), leading to an Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) and a career as a pilot.

With the recent completion of our new 6,000m2 Temasek Aviation Academy (TAA), equipped with the latest state-of-art aviation/aerospace training facilities and laboratories, you can now enjoy a dedicated aviation training environment that combines classroom and real-world learning.
