Course details
This subject covers advanced principles and applications in chromatography. Topics included are the principles and analytical techniques in chromatography, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, quality assurance and method validation. Strong emphasis will be placed on hands-on practice and discussion of common troubleshooting issues using case studies. An introduction to hyphenated techniques will also be covered.
Objectives
This aims of this subject are to equip students with the basic knowledge and skills to:
- explain the principles and techniques of chromatography in relation to industrial applications
- apply the technical skills in operating and maintaining various chromatographic systems such as gas and liquid chromatography
