Course details
For all sectors of the Singapore Tourism Board intends to obtain a certificate of eligibility guides, intends to enhance their employment opportunities and strengthening the ability to hire, providing a comprehensive training opportunities. Three capacity unit of this course (Competency Unit) is based on the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) workforce skills identification eligibility criteria (WSQ) design. In addition to teaching courses focused on Singapore's history, perse culture and tourist attractions knowledge, but also the participants of the tour will enhance skills and communication skills.
Syllabus
- unit (A): tour guide service quality and professional skills
- unit (B): Singapore Overview
- unit (C): Singapore's tourism and cultural resources
- unit (D): Attraction Skills Internship
A unit consists of two capacity units - "interaction with customers" and "guided practice."
Unit B, C, D, including a capacity unit - the "practical tourism knowledge."
Admission Criteria
- At least Singapore GCE "O" level Chinese C6 above, equal education or other countries.
- All applicants must attend an admissions interview. College admissions interview will be based on the results of admission.
Qualification examination
after three capacity workforce skills students need to have obtained identification (WSQ) unit proved tour qualifying examination before taking part in the Singapore Tourism Board.
Tour qualifying examination organized by the Singapore Tourism Board is pided into two parts:
- written test (multiple choice)
- Attractions scene examination (written exam passer can only participate in live attractions)
