Course details

With reference to the Finance Circular Minute M5/2010 entitled: ‘Public Sector to take the lead on Environmental Sustainability’, government agencies are encouraged to drive energy efficiency improvement, demonstrate greater resource efficiency and their responsibility towards environmental sustainability.

As environmental sustainability practices evolve, our facilities and operation managers (FOMs) need to keep pace with the latest developments and practices in energy efficiency, water management and waste management. This programme will introduce the important principles of energy efficiency, water management and waste management. The programme will also provide participants with a good insight into various practices that will enable them to manage the building's management agent and contractors.

COURSE OBJECTIVES 

• Upon completion of the training, the FOMs will be able to:
• Identify energy saving and water saving opportunities in government buildings
• Work with their contractors to implement energy and water improvement/retrofit measures
• Achieve cost savings in utilities bill
• Implement waste management strategies
