OBJECTIVE
To provide participants with knowledge of the operations of a delivery assistant which include preparing for delivery operations, loading and unloading products as well as interpreting and executing the delivery schedule

Prepare for Delivery Operations
- How to prepare different vehicles for different types of product
- Implications of not conforming to LTA, CAAS, PSA and specific organisational requirements
- How to estimate driving distances and delivery times to plan and meet delivery schedule
Load Products and Execute Delivery Plan
- Loading procedure for different types of products
- Nature and characteristics of the load and their effect on vehicle performance
- Types of problems that may occur during execution of delivery operations and how to resolve them
Unload products at delivery points
- Types of documentation to complete after unloading products
- Types of workplace safety and health procedures to unload products
FUNDING
This course is approved for funding under the Skills Redevelopment Programme (SRP) and registered on Skillsconnect.
