Course details

To ensure the safe use of laser devices for laser workers, the course is designed for those with little or no knowledge on laser radiation safety to handle laser devices.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Participants will acquire knowledge to handle laser devices safely in the course of their laser work.

  • Radiation Protection (Non-Ionising Radiation) Regulations 1991
  • Types of Non-Ionising Radiation Licences under NIR Regulations
  • Final Examination

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Company radiation safety officers who are responsible for the safe use of laser devices, and workers who need to handle laser devices at work. Besides providing basic knowledge on laser radiation protection, this course also prepares participants for the N3 licence qualifying test.

EXAMINATION

Arrangement will be made for participants to take a final test after course completion.
