The course aims to share Singapore’s experiences in developing policies and initiatives that nurture public sector-wide innovation and change.

• Principles of change management
• Developing 360-degree innovation
• E-Government initiative as a public service delivery strategy
• The staff suggestion scheme
• Developing work improvement teams
• Innovation funding: The enterprise challenge
• Benchmarking and setting quality standards
• Business excellence frameworks
• Developing human resources to embrace and drive change and innovation
• Ensuring staff welfare

Participant Profile

Mid to senior government officials who are involved in increasing innovation in the public sector

Eligibility

Applicants for SCP training programmes should satisfy the following criteria: 

• Mid- to senior level officials, unless otherwise stated
• Nominated by their respective Governments or National Focal Points for Technical Assistance
• Suitably qualified to attend the training programme, as assessed by the training agency
• Proficient in English, i.e. have a good command of spoken and written English (Please note that there will be no interpreters on hand during the training)
• In good health and medically fit to complete the course
• Be able to attend the training programme from the start date to the end date
