Course Syllabus/Content
This unit examines the basic elements of generating new business ideas. Through various mode of learning (e.g. lectures, online learning, tutor consultation, workshop, site visit and active participation etc) students will get an opportunity to identify, assess and select viable businesses, and then develop preliminary business proposals through a typical entrepreneurship process and field research. The objective is to develop students' entrepreneurial mindset.
Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to:
1. Identify, assess and select viable businesses
2. Develop preliminary business proposals
3. Understand the process of entrepreneurship
4. Carry out filed research
Admission Requirements
Students should normally satisfy the following minimum academic requirements:
- Three GCE 'O' level passes with a pass in Chinese
International students with equivalent qualifications may be admitted on the condition that they are proficient with Chinese.
Certification
After the completion of the short course, students will be given a Certificate of Completion by Beacon International College.
