Course details
One of the most popular instruments to play worldwide, learning to play the piano requires a great deal of dedication and good aural skills.
Through this course, you will learn how to have good finger techniques through practice of fingering exercises, note reading/sight-reading skills, understanding of chord progressions, rhythm counting, scales and harmony, aural and solfege knowledge. In addition, expanding of song repertoire is a must in this program.
As you progress through the different grades of the course, you will master control of your finger techniques and lead you towards a professional career in the classical piano industry, enabling you to teach or perform at your own choice!
Examinations
You may opt to take Graded music exams under the prestigious music examination board, Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
Examinations are conducted twice yearly, (March – April or July – September), and registration can be done via SOMA.
