The short course is designed to meet the following aim:
- To develop students’ abilities in oral and written skills in a business context
Course Syllabus/Content
This unit aims to develop students’ abilities in oral and written skills in a business context. It exposes students to skills, communication in semi-formal and formal business settings including presentation, meeting, interview, minutes writing and business report writing.
Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- Demonstrate skills in the selection and interpretation of business texts
- Communicate in semi-formal and formal business settings
- Write minutes
- Conduct meeting
- Prepare business report
Admission Requirements
Students should normally satisfy the following minimum academic requirements:
- Three GCE ‘O’ level passes with a pass in Chinese
International students with equivalent qualifications may be admitted on the condition that they are proficient with Chinese.
Certification
After the completion of the short course, students will be given a Certificate of Completion by Beacon International College.
