To train workers in erection, alteration and dismantling of various types of marine metal scaffolds used in the marine industry.

Trainees will be able to erect, alter and dismantle cargo hold scaffold confidently and safely
Who should take this course?
Workers involved in marine metal scaffold erection and dismantling in shipyards.
Requirements
- Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents or holders of valid Work Permits
- Able to read and write English
- Medically fit
*TRAINEE MUST WEAR PROPER PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENTS (Working Attire , Googles, Safety Boots, Safety Helmets) Safety Harness will be provided

- Workplace Safety & Health Act
- Types & classification of scaffold system
- Basic definition, terminology & materials for metal scaffolding
- Erection and dismantling of various scaffolds system
Introduction to Ties and Braces
- Requirement for ties & braces
- Erection and dismantling of tubular independent tied scaffold
Introduction to Static & Mobile Tower
- Requirement for tower scaffold
- Erection and dismantling of tower scaffold
Erection and Dismantling of Scaffold
- Safety erection in various scaffolding system compliance to MOM regulations & CP 14
- "Common contraventions and system weaknesses" (presentation from MOM)
- Workplace Safety & Health (Scaffold) regulation 2006

- Written Test
- Practical Test
