Course details

The MBA in Retailing by distance learning has been developed with the practising manager in mind and allows the inpidual to study at a time, place and pace which suit him best. The programme places emphasis upon inpidual coaching and tuition.

Although academically challenging, many aspects of the programme will have immediate applicability in the participant’s workplace. The programme lasts approximately 24 months and is modular with each module being studied separately. In order to gain the MBA, an inpidual must complete eight taught modules and a dissertation.

OBJECTIVES

After completion, participants will be able to:

  • Use their skills more effectively in areas such as strategy, human resource management, and marketing
  • Apply current management techniques
  • Develop responses to cope with market turbulence

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The majority of inpiduals on the MBA are middle managers wishing to prepare for more senior positions or senior managers wishing to update and broaden their skills base. Qualifications will normally be an Honours Degree or its equivalent. However, in recognition of the many very competent people in the distributive trades who are non-graduates, a candidate may be accepted if he or she has significant and relevant work experience, and has the ability to undertake postgraduate study.
