ICDL Advanced Database is a high level certification programme which enables learners to get more from the database application by giving them the skills to use the many advanced tools available in database applications to better manage and organise structured information.
Individual with ICDL Advanced Database certified skills can:
- Produce better reports with deeper data analysis
- Produce higher quality management information
- Use advanced features in table, query, form and report design
- Use macros within the database application
- Import, export and link data
TARGET AUDIENCE
Prospective learners should ideally have the ICDL certification and/or previous experience using computers and common software applications. Typically, these would be individual who use a wide range of advanced functionalities within a database application in a personal or professional context. Database applications are a powerful resource, managing and analysing high volumes of data to produce the quantity and quality of information that business today demands. Enhancement to the WTS scheme to help low-wage workers enjoy higher cthierse fee funding, cash awards and greater support when they upgrade their skills, w.e.f. 1st July 2013.
These low-wage workers must be Singaporeans aged 35 years and above who are earning S$1900 a month or less.
Through the WTS scheme, low-wage workers who are eligible for Workfare Income Supplement (WIS) can receive a Training Commitment Award of $200 in cash for every two WSQ modular Statements of Attainment (SOAs) or a full WSQ qualification attained within a year.
The award will be paid automatically with the workers' WIS payout in March and September every year.
