Our kids almost live half their life on these machines. Very often there are problems with the hardware / software and we don't know what to do next.

Understanding & Troubleshooting Computer Hardware

Module 1 : CPU

• Various types available and differences- AMD, Intel, Atom, Arm, Mac
• Single / Dual / Quad / Multi Core, Multithreading,
• OnChip Cache and its advantages
• Different speeds available and what do they mean
• 32 bit Vs 64 bit – which one to choose, why?
• How to choose a CPU type for different needs?

Module 2: Memory

• Ram types available and different speeds.
• Virtual memory and how to configure e it for optimum system performance.

Module 3: Hard disk

• Disk partitioning
• Types of hard disk – SCSI, IDE, SATA
• How many Hard disk and CDRom’s can we add in a computer, why?
• How to use external hard disks – how to make your external hard disk run 1000 times faster? This will improve your data copying speed like you would have never imagined. 

Module 4: BIOS & Ports

• How to configure the BIOS.
• How to tweak your computer so that it runs very fast on Win 7 and Win XP
• Different ports and why we use them – USB, PS2, pX
• How to setup startup password for your computer.

Module 5: Adding new parts to your Computer

• Basic troubleshooting 
• Adding new hard-disk or RAM yourself
• Wiring of your computer, inside the CPU. 

Module 6: Configuring your computer to run FAST 

• We will show you how to configure various parts of your computer/laptop to make it run very fast and load applications faster than ever before.
