  • Review human resource and organisation strategies to identify career development opportunities that exist within the organisation 
  • Consult stakeholders to identify their requirements for the career planning system 
  • Document career planning strategies to clarify key characteristics and assessment methods/processes that will be used

Facilitate the implementation of career planning strategies 

  • Communicate career planning strategies and processes to encourage buy-in from managers and employees 
  • Support stakeholders to implement the career planning strategies

Monitor implementation of career planning strategies 

  • Identify criteria to evaluate the performance of career planning strategies 
  • Support the development of processes and systems to gather measurement data and feedback 
  • Monitor influences and trends that may impact on career planning 
  • Analyse data to refine career planning strategies
