    Course details

    This course will enable adult learners to:

    • interpret simple charts and graphs;
    • interpret a basic payroll stub;
    • complete a simple order form and do calculations;
    • handle jobs that involve basic diagrams.

    Course Outline

    1. Addition, subtraction, multiplication and subtraction of whole numbers up to 1000
    2. Fraction and decimal involving addition, subtraction
    3. Lines of symmetry in two-dimensional figures, properties of triangles and quadrilaterals , elements of a circle,parallel, perpendicular and intersecting lines, characteristics of angles
    4. Measurement of time, distance, temperature, weight, areas and perimeters of rectangles and common figures, two and three-dimensional measurement, square and cubic units
    5. Creating table, graph or other visual representation of data, interpretation of bar graphs, block graphs and circle graphs

    How will I be assessed?

    All trainees for Workplace Numeracy (WPN) are required to sit for a Pre-Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) assessment to evaluate their mathematic proficiency levels – beginner, Intermediate or Advance.

    Will I recieve a certificate of completion?
