As a manager, supervisor and leader, it is important that you are able to provide constructive and useful feedback to your staff. To do that, you need to be able to undertake different approaches to giving feedback and learn to engage your staff as an employee and as an individual. Doing so regularly will help to foster a productive work environment where your staff are motivated to improve and develop. This will in turn bring your organisation to greater heights.
Objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Give constructive feedback to engage your staff and improve their job performance
- Give both positive and negative feedback professionally
- Manage emotional behaviours and difficult conversations during performance appraisals
- Apply coping skills when receiving negative feedback and criticism from staff and customers
