Communicate with Confidence enables you to communicate more effectively with others at all levels. It will benefit those who have completed at least WPL Intermediate level.

- Writing concisely - levels of formality
- Anticipate and ask open-ended questions effectively
- Understand and apply the basic requirements in oral presentation

Course Outline
The course takes participants through the following essential aspects of grammar:
- Sentence components - relative pronouns, prepositional phrases, participles with present and past participle
- Sentence structures - types of sentences, joining sentences, punctuation patterns, sentence fragments, run-on sentences, parallel constructions
- Modals and moods - modal meanings, expressing moods, subjunctive mood
- Subject-verb agreement - rules on subject-verb agreement
- Connectors - coordinating conjunctions, correlative conjunctions, compound conjunctions, subordinating conjunctions
- Dangling modifiers - transitive and intransitive verbs, dangling and misplaced modifiers, spell it right, punctuation marks
- Redundancy - avoid saying the same thing twice, avoid unnecessary adverbs, avoid expletive constructions; use verbs instead of nouns, use single words.
