INTRODUCTION
Do you lead cross functional teams some of whom are culturally different towards achieving specific goals? How can you get employees who do not report directly to you, and who may be from another culture and location to fully cooperate with you to meet project deadlines? This workshop seeks to enhance skills in managing workplace diversity through understanding different functions and diversity issues, creating a positive work culture to leverage on diverse experiences to maximize efficiency and synergy towards a common goal, as well as employing effective strategies in communication and conflict resolution.
This course is conducted by Capelle Academy (CET).
OBJECTIVES
At the end of the program, participants should be able to:
- Assess diversity issues that have implications on a work team working towards common goals and objectives.
- Align diverse work teams towards common goals and objectives.
- Examine the differences among the background of members in a diverse work team and their implications on maximizing team effectiveness and synergy.
- Establish a positive work culture in a diverse work team.
- Moderate diverse perspectives and opinions across team members from different disciplines and cultures.
- Establish a system to facilitate communication among members within a diverse work team.
METHODOLOGY
This program will feature the following learning methods:

- Role plays
- Experiential activities
Pre-work Participants will be given a pre-workshop assignment about two weeks before Day 1 of the Workshop. The assignment comprises online profiling and reading. This would require about two hours to complete. A welcome note will be sent by Capelle to participants providing details of the pre-workshop assignment.
