Market profiling and segmentation help to outline important aspects of consumer needs, consumer behaviour, brand preferences, and product usage levels. A segment profile would also provide a demographic and psychographic description of the segment, along with key measures of segment size and growth, which are important information that would help media professionals develop strategies to increase return on investment for their projects.
Participants will learn how to profile the market to implement and monitor marketing activities. This unit will equip participants with skills that include segmenting the market; selecting targeting strategies and tactics; profiling of a target or target segments; and developing positioning strategies and implementation activities to improve market performance.
