Course details
The course is designed to provide students the opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge in graphic design. The training includes concept development, graphic design, typography, digital media, art media and presentation techniques.
WIll I Recieve a certificate of completion?
- Students will be presented a Certificate upon successful completion of all 4 short courses and passing all required assessment.
COURSE MODULES
Visual Communication 1 - Principle of Design
An introduction to visual elements as design components in 2-dimensional plane by application and understanding of design principles for effective visual communication. Students will learn how to apply basic elements: dot, line, plane and the basic concepts of 2D graphics from visual thinking, theoretical to practical studies.
Visual Communication 2 - Digital Design 1 (Techniques)
Students will be learning both basic design theory and software application which is Adobe Illustrator. Students will be applying design principles and elements together with digital application to create design projects.
Visual Communication 3 - Typography & Color Study
Students will learn how to apply colour, typography and the basic concepts of 2D and 3D graphics from visual thinking, theoretical to practical studies.
Visual Communication 4 - Digital Design 2 (Application)
Students will be learning both basic design theory and software Photoshop and Indesign. They will learn how to apply design principles and elements together with digital application to create a project.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must be 17 years old & above.
- For Visual Communication 3 & 4, applicants need to complete Visual Communication 1 & 2
