This course equips learners with the fundamental knowledge and skills on technical writing that includes writing in multiple different formats, and writing for different audiences. It provides learners with the opportunity to apply, demonstrate and practice the knowledge and skills learnt on writing technical documents through classroom and practical sessions.

Requirements

Learners are a assumed to:

  • Have in depth knowledge of their technical area
  • Be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System (ESS) level 8
  • Be able apply effective problem-solving and decision-making skills at a proficiency level equivalent to the Problem Solving and Decision Making Skills (ESS) at Supervisory level
  • Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System (ESS) level 8
