Who should take this course?

Workers in the marine industry, who are involved in lifting operations using mobile or tower cranes.

Requirements

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents or holders of valid Work Permits
  • Able to read and write English
  • Medically fit
  • Company-sponsored

Note:

  • Signalmen will only be required to attend the Signalman Course (Marine).
  • Riggers are required to attend both the Signalman Course and Rigger Course (Marine).
  • The Signalman Course (Marine) is a pre-requisite for the Rigger Course (Marine).

How will I be assessed?

  • Theory
  • Practical

Will I receive a certificate of completion?

Candidates who have successfully passed their course examiniations, will be issued the Marine Signalman Pass and Certificate by The Association of Singapore Marine Industries (ASMI).
