The programme aims to:
Assist counsellors / senior counsellors to become professionals with skills and awareness as a supervisor
Provide training in counselling supervision
introduce professional and ethical concerns of the supervisory relationship and management
Teaching Methods and Assessment
The programme will be delivered through lectures, seminars, demonstrations, video or audio recording of pratice, role-play practice and presentation of participants' works
Evaluation will base on student's written assignements, role-play practice, self-evaluation, seminars, and presentations of their own works.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission to the course, applicants must fulfil ALL the following conditions:
At least Specialist Diploma in Counselling Psychology, or Bachelor Degree in Applied Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Education or another related area in Counselling Psychology
At least 3 years of professional experience after the above qualification has been granted
Currently practicing as a consellor, school counsellor, psychologist, or social worker who wish to supervise or is supervising others and want keep developing their skills
applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Module Description
The progamme has been designed to cover all possible areas for certification as an Approved Clinical Supervisor. Based on a variety of counselling approaches, the programme includes such topics as the process of evaluation, the influence of individual and developmental differences on the supervisory relationshop and ethical considerations.
1.The Context of Clinical Supervision
The unit provides an overview of the history of clinical supervision on : the supervision routines, beliefs, and practices emerged, and the importance of counselling supervisor. Participants will understand how it has been developed and how they can appy it to themselve. They will be learning about their effective models of supervision then discussing about the tnedency of applicaiton to their practical styles. Processes of Supervision framework will also be discussed.

2. Professional and Ethical Issues
The unit focuses on the ethical issues of clinical supervision, and the major responsibilities and roles as a supervisor. Participants wil role-play as a counselling supervisor with a volenteer supervisee. They are required to experience the real situations ans practice their skills in managing the professional relationship. This unit will acknowledge the importance of the relationship throughout the supervision processes, possible variables' influences, and differences in working with experienced and inexperienced supervisees / counsellors.

3. Counselling on Specific Client Issues
This unit covers evaluation and professional practices, goals of evaluation, onbjective versus subjective evaluation, methods of evaluation, criteria for evaluation & organisation of evaluation. This unit will also covers group supervision, managing crisis situations, crisis intervention, multicultural supervision competencies, and supervisory skills in issues such as marriage and family counselling, and issues that involve addiction.
