Course details

The course introduces the overview of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), the process an organisation could adopt to comply with the act, and identify possible areas of non-compliance. Participants will also learn how to develop a process for handling complaints and breaches, as well as get their organisation started in fulfilling their obligations under the PDPA .

  • Overview of the PDPA and Key Terms
  • Data Protection Provisions - The 9 obligations 
  • Do Not Call (DNC) Registry Scope and Operational Rules 
  • Role of Data Protection Officer 
  • Create an Inventory Map for effective data management 
  • Develop a process for handling complaints and non-compliance
  • Effective training and communication plan for staff

Target Audience

This course is suitable for HR, IT, Sales, Business Development Executive / Manager that are involved in complying with the Act or potentially undertaking the role of the organization’s Data Protection Officer.

Assessment and Certificate

Upon successful completion, participant will receive a WSQ Statement of Attainment awarded by WDA.
