MASTERCLASS: Transmedia Content Creation Central Area, Central

Course details

This 2-day Masterclass is designed to introduce programming to the world of Transmedia, alongside an introduction to the technology and innovations that enable this new industry.

The course will focus on how to create optimal, engaging transmedia content, which will keep viewers immersed with all types of content, especially the hardest genre - scripted TV. With case studies and examples focused on transmedia storytelling, it will end with a group assignment where participants will write transmedia content for chosen TV shows.

The first day will include an introduction to the formats and general guidelines. On the second day, the course will go in depth in the transmedia content creation process, which includes:

• Scriptwriting exercises - writing an asymmetrical storyline, how to choose the right characters, writing the first episodes together
• Production exercises - coordinating the app’s needs with the series. including: coordinating the app shoot with the series schedule, creating and managing timetables of the writing and production of the app, working with designers, using locations in a beneficial way and solving all production problems
