Course details

This masterclass comprises three parts mirroring the chronology of producing a documentary. The first covers the elements of pre-production, from initial development to shooting outline. The second part covers the crafts of field and post-production. Special emphasis will be placed on writing as writing is the glue that binds all the crafts.  It is also the most complicated and difficult to master. The third part covers the techniques and challenges of the main specialist factual genres: science, history, current affairs, observational and presenter-led.
