Engineering in Singapore has grown to become one of the major contributors to our economy. Over the past years, there has been significant investment of valuable resources worth more than S$100 billion from international companies. As a result of this development, a wide range of career opportunities from aerospace, cleantech, manufacturing, petrolchemical as well as research & development are emerging. Employers seek to hire inpiduals who have demonstrable technical competence as well as core job skills, especially the ability to innovate and manage engineering processes.

Who is it for?
The programme is designed for students with the following qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis
The programme is also suitable for mature-age learners looking to return to study and progress their career.
What will you learn?
The programme adopts a flexible delivery mode with face-to-face and online materials available. It combines lectures, tutorials, seminars and workshop sessions, with a student to faculty ratio of 1:36. Students will be assessed based on written assignments, presentations, group projects and written examinations.
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of principles, current practice, and technologies within relevant engineering disciplines
- Develop a strategic approach to the management of Engineering Organisations
- Complete an industry-based research project, through the integration of knowledge, research and problem-solving skills
- Develop intellectual and professional independence through information literacy and research skills from their project work
- Integrate and apply the developed knowledge and skills to identify, evaluate, justify and solve engineering, as well as technology,related problems
- Work independently and in teams
- Use appropriate communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Understand the various areas of engineering with specific understanding of relevant cultural, social and ethical issues
- Understand engineering in the global environment, with a specific understanding of cultural, social and ethical issues
Where does it lead?
Students will graduate with a Master of Engineering (Engineering Management) awarded by the University of South Australia, enabling them to pursue a range of careers from Aerospace, Clean Energy, Chemical Engineering, Marine & Offshore as well as Manufacturing Engineering.
