Course details
Our learning materials used during class are based on the books published by Sogang University. The objective of the book is to assist learners to improve their communication skills in the Korean language.
The format of the textbook and the workbook allows the learner to select and focus or any of the four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) which are connected by a a common learning objective in each lesson, enabling the learner to practice and extend essential language skills.
The book also includes meaningful practice dialogues to help students learn important aspects of Korean grammar and vocabulary, with an emphasis on communicative skills. To further assis independent study, the book also includes English explanations of Korean in separate grammar booklet, scripts for each CS, and a glossary of terms.
Elementary 1-4: This course is for students with some knowledge of the Korean language and designed to provide them with basic communication sklls by building on the foundations using basic grammar and sentence structures.
Course Syllabus:
- Numbers - Sino numbers and Korean pure numbers.
- Telling the time, date, days and months.
- Talking about daily routines, past and future events.
- How to express, describe, suggest, accept, refuse etc.
- Positive and negative expressions.
