Course details
This course is designed for make-up artists who wish to acquire skills and techniques in bridal, fashion and special effect make-up using colours and prosthetics.
Upon successful completion on the course, student will be awarded the internationally acclaimed ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Fashion, Theatre & Media Make-up from ITEC (UK).
Types of Special Effects Cosmetics & Materials:
- Making Burns, Cuts, Scars & Bullet Hole Effects
- Wrinkled Skin Effect (ageing & old hands)
- Creating Perspiration Effect and Dirtying Down
- Changing Facial Features (nose & chin)
- Modeling Techniques (using Wax)
- Hair works, working with crépe hair
- Beards & Moustache usage and Stubble Effect
- Bald Cap Effect
- Introduction to Theatre Cosmetics and tools
- Different Stage & Drama and Ballet Make-Up
- Fantasy Make-Up for shows
- Theatrical & Character Make-Up

Classroom demonstrations followed by hands-on practice sessions, working in pairs and on models.
Entry requirements
- Minimum age: 16 years old
Academic/Vocational level: Five credits at GCE 'O' Levels or equivalent. Exemptions may be made for the following:
- candidates with minimum three credits at GCE 'N' Level and 1 year work experience in a related field or 3 years work experience in other field; or
- holders of Certificate in Professional Make-up (or equivalent).
Language proficiency: Pass in English or Mandarin at PSLE or equivalent
