Objective

Day 1: The Objective of this course is to provide knowledge and practical skills for auditing environmental management systems as per the requirements of ISO 14001:2004

Day 2: This seminar is designed to impart auditing skills and knowledge to internal auditors who seek to assess and improve their Environmental Management System

Who should attend?

Internal auditors from organisations implementing or certified to ISO 14001 with or without ISO 9001 or EHS auditing experience. This course assumes participants have at least a basic understanding of ISO 14001:2004

• Review of ISO 14001:2004 requirements
• Understanding environmental aspects, impacts and their significance
• Define audit scope, frequency, methodologies, responsibilities and requirement
• How to carry out documentation review, interviews and site inspection
• Preparation of audit reports
• Practical exercise (audit a selected department for in-house programme, visual audit for public programme)
