The Facilities Management programme will equip students with basic technical knowledge and facilities Management function skills that develop their opportunities in the built environment especially in the maintenance of the facilities equipment and services for the building. The programme is developed to make learners competent in performing maintenance works, facilities management and set up effective maintenance programme & procedures.
The Facilities management professionals are emerging rapidly to support facilities and developing as the foundation of strategic management in order to improve the contemporary business process. The graduates will be able to manage building facilities effectively in the dynamic environment and develop the skills to coordinate the facilities planning, designing and managing building systems and energy efficient that contribute to business success.
The programme will also cover wide range of topics on designing the electrical system to the buildings, BMS (Building Management System), maintenance of electrical system, monitoring & conducting energy audits and optimal energy usage for the building as one of the requirements of BCA green mark assessment for buildings
