Applications of GPS technology marks a new phase in land survey development in Singapore. Recently Singapore Land Authority (SLA) has converted its existing Cadastre survey system to the Co-ordinated Cadastre system on a nation-wide scale.

The Co-ordinated Cadastre system is meant to benefit surveyors, the infrastructure & construction industries and the government agencies that require land survey data.

Participants will learn the latest developments and surveying practices related to the coordinated cadastre system through lectures and practical field assignments.

The Certificate in Cadastral Surveying awarded by the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers is a recognized qualification for employment as authorized assistant to conduct cadastral survey.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The Cadastre Surveying Course is designed to help attendees understand the Co-ordinated Cadastral Surveying system in Singapore.

Those who have successfully completed the course will be able to conduct their work in a professional manner, and provide a higher standard of service in these works. 

COURSE CONTENTS

The topics to be covered in the course are:

COURSE TOPICS (lectures)

  • SVY21 and the Coordinated Cadastre, Types of survey control network;
  • Allocation of lot numbers & lot numbering systems;
  • Survey maps and plans (RT, CP & CPST)
  • Chief Surveyor’s directive on cadastral survey practices;
  • Survey of land lots, plan & file submission;
  • Strata Survey, Party wall Survey;
  • Guidelines & specifications for GPS surveys of ISN markers. 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates who have completed the SISV Basic Land Surveying Course, OR
  • Candidates who have completed the SISV Engineering Surveying Course
  • Mature candidates employed in the Construction or Surveying industry may have to demonstrate by way of Interview and/or Field test to the LSCSC Panel, that they have acquired the necessary basic surveying skills. (Base on Case to Case Basis)
